What is a recovery phrase and why is it important?
You are the only one who will have access to the recovery phrase, and you will need it to retrieve your Plutus wallet if your phone is ever lost, stolen, or your app is deleted.
Your Plutus wallet is held privately on your phone. Our company never has access to your recovery phrase. Thus if you lose your recovery phrase, you are at risk of losing all funds in the corresponding Plutus wallet.
Users are strongly advised to write down their recovery phrase and store it in a secured location to avoid losing access to their funds.
Your 13-word recovery phrase never expires. You will need to use it any time you wish to recover your wallet and thus can use it as many times and on as many devices as you wish.
In some cases, Plutus Support can assist in recovering an existing wallet, however not every wallet is the same and may not be recoverable. Please reach out to the support team if you need to recover a wallet.
